Meet the experts behind Fairpatterns
Marie Potel-Saville combines over 15 years of Magic Circle experience at Freshfields and Allen & Overy in London, Brussels, Paris and EMEA General Counsel experience at Estée Lauder Companies and Chanel, along with a Master’s degree in Innovation by Design (ENSCI). After having seen the results of Legal Design in her own legal division, she founded Amurabi to share its potential: more than a theory, it’s a tool for empowerment. In addition, she is a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris, University of Management of Singapore, Assas and contributes to initiatives of social service. Marie is also part of the EDPB’s Support Pool of Experts (“SPE”) for dark patterns.
An industrial designer with a specialization in brand identity and user interface design, Guillemette is a proud graduate of ENSCI – Les Ateliers. Her career began with three impactful years in innovation consulting, a period during which she learned to analyze human behavior and the way in which it is influenced by user interface design. Having written her thesis on scientific vulgarization, she joined Amurabi with the desire to demystify and simplify, ensuring that legal concepts are brought within reach of the general public.
With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership, Trushant Mehta is the CTO and co-founder OpenEyes Technologies Inc. He has a strong background in government solutions and has worked extensively with the U.S. Federal and State Governments. A recognized thought leader, he contributes to multiple prestigious councils, holds a patent in AI and ML-based network communication, and has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by U.S. President Joe Biden. He actively participates in key committees shaping technology and testing industry standards and is committed to advancing technology for business and societal benefit.
Having initiated his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 14 and subsequently managing a small company, Bibin developed an entrepreneurial mindset. With over 7 years of experience, he has specialized in UX/UI design, digital marketing, and graphic design. Bibin firmly embraces the ‘Juggad Mindset', which is about finding solutions to complex challenges with limited resources. Committed to enhancing the ease, safety, and accessibility of people’s lives, he ardently believes that each design should resonate with the core of human emotions and preferences. In collaboration with Amurabi, Bibin aspires to consistently push the boundaries of creative thinking and contribute to shaping a better digital world.
With a background in event planning and communications, Lindsay has managed a range of engaging projects. After owning her own floral studio in the California Bay Area, she received her MSc in Sustainable Heritage from UCL and moved to Paris to work at UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre on Disaster Preparedness and Sustainable Development. There, she created a working group to develop new sustainable development policies for managing World Heritage Sites. The process is documented in the book World Heritage and Sustainable Development, a chapter of which she co-wrote. Prior to that, she managed an expedition to Everest Base Camp for the NGO, GlacierWorks, where she highlighted the effects of climate change on the world’s melting glaciers, and Nepal’s natural heritage.In her last position she worked as Head of Communications at an award winning French Tech startup.
After earning degrees in law and art history, Pauline pivoted to specialize in information and project management. Over the last 5 years, she has focused on managing cultural exhibitions and promoting corporate heritage within the luxury sector. Her recent role as a Legal Operations project manager involved overseeing the legal department of a major group, where she spearheaded initiatives to integrate digital tools for lawyers and operational staff, facilitating change and enhancing efficiency. Additionally, Pauline is a certified Data Protection Officer (DPO), underscoring her expertise in managing sensitive information and compliance issues.
Juliette recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Digital Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and began her career at Amurabi as a Junior Lawyer after completing her internship there. Thanks to an eclectic curriculum, starting with web design before moving on to law, which she studied in France and England, she strives to combine rigor and creativity in her legal practice. Curious by nature, legal design is a field in which she blossoms as her training progresses, and whose values she shares.
Mara is a UX Design student at Norwich University of the Arts, dedicated to creating spaces that prioritize equity, intersectionality, and accessibility. They emphasize understanding diverse perspectives and making research-based decisions to design for a heterogenous and evolving society. Combining a background in visual design with project management experience, Mara excels at simplifying complex problems into manageable solutions. They are self-driven and curious, having spoken at various conferences on AI's societal impact, team leadership, and marginalized identities in the industry.
After completing a Bachelor of Law at Panthéon-Assas University, Doa began a Master's in Economic Law and Global Governance Studies at Sciences Po Paris Law School (class of 2025). She spent a semester at Stanford Law School, where she was introduced to Legal Design through a Policy Lab focused on AI for Legal Help. At Amurabi, she has deepened her knowledge in this field, bridging the gap between law and technology. Recently, Doa developed a strong interest in the emerging field of integrity risk management related to climate finance and action. She joined the Investigations, Strategy, and Operations team of the World Bank Group’s Integrity Vice Presidency as a legal consultant for a year.
Mariana is a recent graduate of the LLB programme, International and European Law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Having spent a year at The London School of Economics, as well as a semester in the industry working in Brussels, it has given Mariana the opportunity to experience various sectors of law both practically and theoretically. Mariana has developed an interest for AI, law and technology as well as always having an interest for neuroscience, which are at the heart of Amurabi's work. Mariana has now joined Amurabi as a Legal Engineer Trainee, where she will work alongside her masters degree at City St. George's University of London.
With a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, Mathilde specializes in human-centered design. Her 7-year tenure in the automotive industry and at a design agency has honed her skills in applying theoretical and technical knowledge towards creating systems focused on usage contexts and enhancing user experience. She is passionate about participatory design and believes in involving users in the design process. Mathilde also works as a lecturer and is involved in scientific research activities. She advocates for Legal Design, emphasizing its dual nature as both a moral imperative and a pragmatic approach to making law more accessible and operational for improved efficiency.

Sundar is an Ethics and Compliance advisor specializing in AI ethics, governance, and standards, with extensive experience in research, framework development, and teaching, and is actively shaping AI policies and awareness through various innovative methods.
Harry coined the term « dark pattern » and has been exposing deceptive user interfaces since 2010. He runs the website deceptive.design (formerly darkpatterns.org) and is the author of the book ‘Deceptive Patterns’
Celia is a consultant, speaker, and acclaimed author of ‘The Gamer’s Brain: How Neuroscience and UX can Impact Video Game Design and The Psychology of Video Games’.
